Job Title: Project Manager/Engineer – Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Project Manager/Engineer to oversee and manage projects from initiation through shipment. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers and internal teams, ensuring project requirements are met with precision and efficiency.
We are looking for a highly organized engineer with strong technical expertise and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Oversee projects once handed off from the Sales/Application Engineering team.
- Maintain and manage project documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and seamless communication across all departments.
- Verify and confirm project details, including:
- Customer Purchase Order (PO) technical requirements.
- Specification compliance.
- Engineering requirements (thermal and mechanical designs using in-house and third-party software).
- Quality standards and regulatory requirements
Engineering & Documentation
- Compile and maintain all required documentation to clearly communicate project requirements to the Design team, including generating code calculations, detailed engineering specifications, and compliance documentation.
- Review and submit approval drawings to customers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Project Execution & Customer Communication
- Conduct project kick-off meetings and coordinate ship dates with Planning, Purchasing, Production, and Design teams.
- Review and approve manufacturing drawings before procurement and fabrication.
- Track project progress and take proactive measures to resolve technical or scheduling challenges.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates and addressing any engineering or scheduling concerns. Coordinate final shipping requirements with customers and collaborate with internal teams as needed to manage logistics and shipping documentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management and engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably specific to air-cooled heat exchangers.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and thermal design principles.
- Experience working with engineering software and project management tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of quality and compliance standards related to industrial equipment manufacturing.
- Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, including movement between office and manufacturing areas.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of materials or equipment up to 25-50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and climb stairs/ladders as needed for facility and equipment inspections.
- Dexterity to handle documents, operate computers, and review technical drawings.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots when on the shop floor.
- Visual acuity to read technical drawings, specifications, and computer screens.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to noise, dust, temperature fluctuations, and industrial equipment.
- Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
- One-hour lunch break
Working Conditions:
- Primarily works in an office setting with frequent interaction with engineering, production, and quality teams.
- Regular visits to the manufacturing floor, requiring adherence to safety protocols and use of PPE (such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots).
- Exposure to manufacturing environments, including noise, vibrations, temperature variations, dust, and industrial equipment.
- Occasional travel may be required for customer site visits, vendor meetings, or project-related needs.
- Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple projects and priorities requiring adaptability.
- Standard business hours with some overtime or extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines or address production challenges.
- Frequent use of computers, engineering software, and project management tools.

Job Overview:
Hayden Industrial is seeking a proactive and experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager to develop and lead our safety and environmental programs at our Tulsa manufacturing facility. This is a ground-floor opportunity to design and implement a full-scale safety management system, laying the foundation for a culture of safety excellence.
The HSE Manager will be responsible for building all HSE policies, procedures, and training from scratch or near-scratch—ensuring full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory standards. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with the experience and drive to build structure, instill accountability, and promote employee engagement in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development and Implementation:
- Create and implement a comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety Program tailored to a heavy manufacturing setting.
- Draft and formalize safety procedures, policies, and compliance protocols.
- Establish reporting structures, inspection routines, and audit schedules.
- Design and launch a proactive incident prevention and hazard identification system.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Serve as the point of contact for environmental and safety inspections and regulatory communications.
Training and Culture Building:
- Develop and deliver safety orientation and training programs for employees, supervisors, and management.
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and provide employee access and education.
- Launch and lead a Safety Committee, driving culture change through employee involvement.
- Promote a safety-first mindset through visible leadership and day-to-day engagement.
Environmental Management:
- Oversee environmental programs related to hazardous waste, stormwater, air emissions, and chemical storage.
- Manage required environmental reporting and ensure timely permit compliance.
- Develop sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact and waste.
Continuous Improvement:
- Track and analyze safety metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices in safety engineering, ergonomics, and workplace design.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and HR to integrate safety into every function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HSE roles, with a track record of program development in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Deep understanding of OSHA and EPA compliance standards and regulations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; able to drive accountability and influence behavior.
- Experience developing training materials and delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety tracking/reporting systems.
- CSP, CIH, or CHMM certifications are a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
