Job Summary:
Use hand-welding, flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products. Experience welding box headers from ¾” plate up to 3” plate, experience doing mig and tig roots as well as have sub arc experience. fit up experience as well. Weld SS and CS box headers must have a minimum of 5 years of consecutive experience and it must be recent experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Welds the following types of metal in both Carbon and Stainless Steel
- Tube to Plate
- Plate to Plate
- Pipe to Plate
- General Structural Steel Components
- Weld using GTAW, GMAW and SAW weld
- Maintain the proper weld certifications.
- Pressure test units
- Maintains all weld equipment.
- Must read and interpret instructions and diagrams (blueprints)
- Follow schedule and report completions.
- Follow company policies and safety programs.
Qualifications:
Prior ASME welding experience required.
Extended periods of standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and twisting.

Position Overview:
As a Manufacturing Engineer at Hayden Industrial, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and driving efficiency in the production of air-cooled heat exchangers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and support the development of cutting-edge heat exchanger solutions. This position will report to the Vice President and General Manager of the Tulsa operation. Some travel/international travel may be required for vendor identification, vendor auditing, and equipment selection and acceptance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Continuous improvement: Continuously assess and enhance manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and elevate product quality for air-cooled heat exchangers. You will take a lead leadership role to identify and implement lean practices.
2. Quality Assurance: Collaborate closely with the quality control team to establish and maintain stringent quality standards and procedures for air-cooled heat exchanger production.
3. Design Integration: Provide valuable input on heat exchanger designs to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with customer requirements.
5. Equipment Enhancement: Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, maintenance, or replacement to enhance production capabilities and minimize downtime in the manufacturing process. Take the lead managing and specifying new equipment as well as integration.
6. Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and resolve production issues by conducting thorough root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
7. Documentation Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flowcharts, and standard operating procedures.
8. Cost Efficiency: Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce manufacturing expenses while upholding the highest product quality standards.
9. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to support the development and introduction of new air-cooled heat exchanger products and technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within the air-cooled heat exchanger industry.
- Profound knowledge of air-cooled heat exchanger design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and other relevant engineering tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies is advantageous.

Job Overview:
The Weld Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all welding activities within the facility, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality control, and production schedules. This role involves managing a team of welders, coordinating with other departments, and implementing best practices in welding operations to achieve high-quality results and efficient production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Supervise and lead a team of welders, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Schedule and assign welding tasks based on project requirements and team capabilities.
- Conduct performance evaluations and address any performance or disciplinary issues.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure all welding operations meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Perform regular inspections and tests on welds (Visual, PT, Pressure Testing) to verify compliance with engineering drawings, codes, and standards.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures and documentation.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety within the welding department.
- Ensure all welding activities comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and provide training on safe welding practices.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in welding processes and implement effective solutions.
- Develop and recommend best practices for welding operations to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Stay updated with the latest welding technologies and techniques.
- Equipment and Maintenance:
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for any major repairs or upgrades.
- Assure Preventative Maintenance is performed on applicable machines.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including production reports, quality checks, and inventory of welding materials.
- Prepare and present reports on welding performance, production metrics, and any issues encountered.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, production, and quality assurance to ensure smooth workflow.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to address any concerns or changes in project requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Welding Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a welder, with at least [5] years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Certification in welding processes and safety standards (e.g., AWS, ASME) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using welding and measurement tools and instruments.
Work Environment:
- This role is performed in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- The Weld Supervisor may be required to work in various conditions, including exposure to noise, heat, and welding fumes.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required. PPE required are Safety Glasses, Protective Toe Boots, Hearing Protection, Gloves, Etc.
